Our Story
A journey of faith,
hope, and
transformation.
Founded in Faith
"The smallest seed grows into the greatest tree. That is our story."— Rogers Talemwa, Founder
Sinapi is the Greek New Testament word used for Mustard Seed & Plant.
Sinapi Africa was founded on the belief that God uses small beginnings to bring lasting transformation. Inspired by the biblical parable of the mustard seed, Sinapi reflects how faith, when planted in love and obedience, can grow into restoration, purpose, and hope.
Founded in Uganda by Pastor Rogers Talemwa, Sinapi has grown into a holistic ministry serving individuals and communities through the gospel, education, and holistic compassionate care. Today, we serve 289 children across multiple programs and due to the magnitude of the need in our communities, the numbers we serve are increasingly growing.
When a child learns to read, to think critically, to know their potential and worth in Christ — entire generational cycles are broken, communities are healed and destinies are unlocked for the glory of God.

A Bond Forged in Faith
Rogers and Micah:
Nearly 20 years of partnership.
Rogers Talemwa and Micah Stateson have been brothers in faith since childhood. Their friendship, rooted in 2007, has grown into a powerful partnership in God's mission to transform lives in Uganda.
From that first day of friendship to now, their shared commitment to Christ and to the children of Sinapi Africa remains unwavering. This is not a donor-recipient relationship — it is a covenant partnership between two men who believe that God uses small seeds to grow great forests.

The beginning of a lifelong partnership
One Ministry, Two Names
Sinapi Outreach Ministries based in Africa, Uganda is the founding ministry, where our work, programs, and community impact is. To support this mission globally, we established Sinapi Africa in the United States as our international partnership and donor arm. Although the names differ by region, we operate as one unified organization with one mission, one leadership vision, and one shared commitment to raising generations of Christ-centered citizens across Africa. Together, we function as a single ministry family — rooted in Uganda, strengthened by global partners, and united in purpose.
Mission
"To sow into vulnerable lives with the resources they need to live fruitfully and transform their communities for the glory of God."
